How can I tell which generation engine I have? I am not sure if it is gen 4 5 or 6
Hello:
If you can give me the serial number of the engine, I can tell you which version you have\
and the year.
If you can't find the serial number, give me all the information you do have (the boat, the approximate
year etc) and I might be able to make a guess.
Also on the computer (black or silver box) there is usually a bunch of numbers. If you give me them
I can usually give you an estimate as well.
The V are from 1990-1996 or so while the VI are from 1995-2002 or so , but there are overlaps and outliers
to this rule of thumb.
